PTC integrated pick and place robots into their workflow to transfer parts from injection molding machines to a designated station for operators. However, the station often overflowed with parts, causing them to fall to the floor, creating waste and added cleanup tasks for operators. This inefficiency added extra work and disrupted the fluidity of the process.

PTC’s first purchase was an 18” x 120” DynaPro standard conveyor. The indexing feature was crucial for integration with the robot to create a pick and place conveyor system. This solution proved effective, leading to the purchase of two additional conveyors, each 30” x 120”, for other work cells.
